It’s not true. You do have time. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this.
The fact is, we all have time — it’s just we’d rather use it towards things we care more about whether it’s shopping, playing, browsing — whatever. It doesn’t matter.
The point is, it’s okay to say you don’t have the time. It’s okay to say you’d rather use your time on things you enjoy, on things that matter to no one other than yourself.
Life is short and if you realize it, the majority of us will be forgotten anyways after we pass, without any sort of legacy. What we do now, or don’t do will not matter to anyone several generations later.
So unless you’re aiming to build a legacy, or achieve success beyond the exceedingly average, it’s okay to instead focus on things that you enjoy. Most of us say we lack the time because more often than not, we’re focused on things that don’t actually matter.
Set a baseline of the responsibilities you need to uphold, put in the efforts to accomplish just that and spend the rest of your time on living a life you want.
There’s no obligation. Your time is yours and nobody’s tomorrow is guaranteed.
